I am going to install a tacon 4000kv 540L motor with my brushless hobbies 120a.

Because I have to use 5mm mod 8 which is slightly bigger in diameter I doubt I'll be able to stick with the 16t...

It was a direct hit at 50mph(top speed run on 3s & 16t pinion) and it recoiled to the side after impact.

IMO I doubt any other vehicle would have survived without similar damage.

I put 7k in the front and 30k in the rear and now wish I would have gone higher in the front.. the rear seems perfect for a basher and now will actually climb some rocks.

Installed a 16p this morning and its more what I am looking for(35-40) with plenty of punch..

You weren't kidding about it being tight and a blast on 3s(easily 45-50)

not sure on top speed with 2s but 35 seems close. The biggest thing you can do is program the esc punch control from 3 to 7(factory default).. makes it come alive.

The diffs ship open/empty...

I don't think everyone buys lipos for speed.. I get almost twice the runtime from my 2s...extra speed is just a bonus.

Also the warranty seems silly..$40 to replace the esc that costs $29 lol...

Batteries... I use batteries from either hobby parts or hobbyking .. you can get a 2s 4400mah battery for around 25.

Charger... had great luck with my fake b6 charger from amazon for $25-30. I...
