The DLE55 will make this plane plenty fast with a 22X10 Xoar prop... The guys who race giant scale at my flight line use APC 20X15 T6 racing props in Zenoah G62's... For me it's too fast for this...

I don't use flaps in winds over 10MPH (> 4 or 5 meters per second)... Flaps help me slow the plane down and help with Angle of Attack. With a substantial head wind I can fly the plane to the runway...
