RE: Here's a Simple & FREE First Foam Build Plan! Cool Looking Plane Too...

RE: Here's a Simple & FREE First Foam Build Plan! Cool Looking Plane Too...

It was a perfect day to fly, I opted to cook turkey, get some production done in the shop, flirt with some girls and call it a day. Take note on that last statment, I've been scarce from the forums,...

If you want to pay for gas, I'll fly it over to you myself. :)

Something inspiring happened yesterday, I was at hf getting ready to leave and I looked up into the sky and noticed a cessna flying...

Hey Critterhunter, things continue to progress forward by leaps and bounds, per what we have been dialogging, I've even managed to squeeze in some build time, stick creation on this round. Progress...

RE: Here's a Simple & FREE First Foam Build Plan! Cool Looking Plane Too...

I just messed with the motor specs, I still want to slow it down a bit more, I'll adjust it more with the rest of the plane, I've never messed with a par file too much so am basically hacking my way...

RE: Here's a Simple & FREE First Foam Build Plan! Cool Looking Plane Too...

New Par file is attached, this is closer to how this plane performs, I'll mess with it a little more later on. RCU won't let me upload it as a .par file so I had to rename it to a .txt file, after...

Fisher, what power system are you flying with yours at present, this little plane is alot different in speed 400 mode with a 9.6, 650 mah nimh compared to a 1600 kv b/l with a 11.1 1600 mah lipo. ...

If you can imagine it, it can fly these days, well, it could have in the day's of old, but we have the WWW to share thoughts upon that matter.

Critterhunter, where are you, us regular members...

RE: Here's a Simple & FREE First Foam Build Plan! Cool Looking Plane Too...

Is this your own design? There is a guy at RCG that ownes a Korean mfg. plant that did a pre-release of the same plane, he's telling everybody that he's going to distribute it in the Spring. If...

RE: Here's a Simple & FREE First Foam Build Plan! Cool Looking Plane Too...

Oak is heavier, the durability far outweighs that, excuse the pun, especially in your case. Think Slowstick as far as gearing it up, it will be super easy to get this one airborn if you go that...

RE: Here's a Simple & FREE First Foam Build Plan! Cool Looking Plane Too...

Thanks, I'm happy with how it came out, it took alot more R and D going outside of the norm design wise.

Along the stick, some 3/8 X 3/8 basswood stock will do, Home Depot stocks Oak in that...

RE: Here's a Simple & FREE First Foam Build Plan! Cool Looking Plane Too...

Looking good Calvino, I'd just use a stick for your fuse, it will make it much easier to put together. The polyhedral is a good pick, that's a very forgiving system.

I'm just going to link to...

RE: Here's a Simple & FREE First Foam Build Plan! Cool Looking Plane Too...

Well, another route would be helping you get your feet wet in the building element. You can make a so. chuck glider, this will give you a healthy starting point as to what it takes to create a...

Diagram for a trainer I take it. I can take care of it for you, but it's still going to need revision after the fact, just as the jet needed it.

RE: Here's a Simple & FREE First Foam Build Plan! Cool Looking Plane Too...

The rudder is actually fixed, so just aileron, elevator per the original plans. If you were going with a tail feather control only, you'll want to make sure there is clearance for the rudders and it...

RE: Here's a Simple & FREE First Foam Build Plan! Cool Looking Plane Too...

At the very end of the plane, there are areas that move around, that is what turns the plane around, to keep it in it's most simple context.

RE: Here's a Simple & FREE First Foam Build Plan! Cool Looking Plane Too...

I so wish these RTF guys would make these into ARF options rather then sell you each individual piece, which adds up big time, especially since they are proprietary. They would be making less on...

slowstick.......... The supercub is popular, but you end up throwing out the gear since it's junk after you get into mainstream RC, the slowstick requires you purchase some "real" gear since it's...

RE: Here's a Simple & FREE First Foam Build Plan! Cool Looking Plane Too...

If you add some dihedral, you can use tail feather control with this one, so yeah, would make a good first time trainer. The sim I used that helped me learn was FMS 7.0, I never even plugged in my...

RE: Here's a Simple & FREE First Foam Build Plan! Cool Looking Plane Too...

The plane would make a good aileron trainer, given you already have passed tail feather control world and are wanting to expand your skills. It's also nice withthe fact, it's a pusher so when you...
