I just had a chance to look over the new retracts that will be included with new orders for the Mibo A-10.
The retrtact housing and the air cylinder is one piece and very solid. The nose gear has a...

No Gordon that shimming is to allow for the clearance needed for the larger air cylinder used for Gen 4 retracts.

the shimming you are refering to on G 3 was to help take out some of the free play of the strut when the main gear is retracted.
We did not have this problem on gear down.

I have been asked about the main gear on Gen 4 A-10 binding when bolted onto the wing.
The fix is to put a 1/32 shim under the two front mounting flanges this should releive the binding of the air...

Yes the canopy slides back to unlock and then opens.
If you want give me a call it will be about a week before i will have time to set down and make all the parts.

I used 1 1/4" aluminum angle because i could not find 1 1/4" alum channel.
His a ruff sketch & two more photos.
