I use idle bars too. I don't know how much you tend to lose on the high end (is there an average?) but most people tend to over power their planes anyway so I have never found it to be an issue.

My SuperTigre 75's rear drive washer slips whenever I try to tighten or remove the prop. I have to use vice grips to keep it from slipping. How do I fix this? Is it a sign of a larger problem? ...
