I placed an order 2 days ago for these universals and paid for the order with PayPal. So far I haven't received any confirmation from them and according to their website I don't have any order...

I'm currently using the Mamba Max 5700 but I have a 7700 that I may put in it. Yes, I am using the 85T spur with the Tamiya slipper clutch.

Do you have to do anything special to get the 23/85 gearing to mesh? Maybe I'm missing something but I can't seem to slide the motor close enough for them to mesh correctly...

It fits. Many people here have done it including myself. The ESC is actually kinda small...
