Best way to test the tank is to pump it as dry as you can. Then take it out with the lines attached and close off the fuel hose. Then blow into the exhuast hose, you should get pressure rather...

or you can also sell the airframe for $50 bucks, buy a mustang ARF and have a mustang for around $200!
