I had same issue with my Thor 45. Changed to DL50 Available from DLUSA.Net for $390.00 comes all accessories.
Installed on 25% Patty and run's awesome.

This engine does run. I think the problem I had with it is that elavation is too high 4200-4500 feet.

It's a GREAT engine!!!:D
Very little tuning out of box. Broke in with 20-8 prop.
Now swinging 22-8 on 25% Patty Wagstaff with ease.

Yes you can get advanced ignition and plug from western hobbies. But by that time your over $400.
DL-50 is less money with all goodies.

I used the measurements instead of the pattern.
Also beefed up inside of firewall with 1/8in plywood after drilling wrong holes from...

Tried advised plug on post 260 and new advanced ignition and changed timing, still no help.
First flight on 25% Patty took half of the runway to take off and when airborne had to fly at full...

Scrap it!!! I had same issue at 4000 feet .
Switched to DL50 on a 25% Patty and what a change.

The sensor on module went bad.
Switced to advanced module and changed to NGK plug with help from RCIGN1 in Williams Az. and problem solved in less than an hour.

For Okla. my ?? is what gap are you using on spark plug, whether it be Torgue that it came with or did you change???

Tried again 4-30-07 after putting neddles back at factory setting at 1 1/2 turns out.
It got a little better.
Not running backwards after Sunday's run.
Waiting on new...

Still using 91 octane at 25:1 with Lawn Boy less than a gallon thru it so far.
Spark gap in manual says .028 should it be lower as recommened by Don's Hobby?

I was recommened by Don's Hobby in Salina Ks. that it should be lower.

I'm buliding same GP PW and with Thor 45. Had it running ok while in Salina Ks. never flew because of bad weather.
As i'm back in Arizona cannot get the 7000 rpm I had there with 20-8 apc prop....
