I did the maiden flight of my Phoenix Extra 330S last weekend. I have a ASP S91A 2 stroke engine and it had plenty of power for this plane. My Phoenix Extra is the new one where the CG is at 100mm....

I have 3 DLE-20's and I have found a wood 17x6 prop to be the best for the way I fly. I use a Xoar 17x6 when I can find one or a APC 17x6 if a wood 17x6 is not around.:D

I was flying my Phoenix Extra 330s with a Magnum 108a in it using a APC 16x6 prop. It was a great combo and flew very well until I did something really dumb[:@] I changed the prop to a 15x8 APC ...

Let us know how the Carbon Fiber gear works out. I know the Dubro gear works very well on mine. i two reinforced the landing gear area. I did have to trim the dubro gear some to get it to fit but...

That looks like a good setup to me. I am not a 3d pilot but I think the DLE20 is the perfect gas engine for this plane. Mine is almost finished with the Magnum 108A and I had to move things around...

I have the new version on this Phoenix Extra and the manual is for an OS 91. My engine is just a little larger than an OS 91 but the stock motor mount that came with the ARF did not look like it...

Thanks for the info Tande. I will now for sure us a APC 16x6 prop on mine. How is everthing in Millington. MI. It is cooler here today in Millington, TN but clear.

I just ordered one of these planes from Tower Hobbies and I got it for $159 plus free shipping. Not bad!:D I plan on using a Magnum 108A with a APC 16x6 prop. I think I'll change out the fuel tank...
