If you are using the Mibo operating canopy system, the canopy locking is scale and automatic by the single canopy lift servo. you get 2 plywood templates to cut the slots. one to lay on the fuse...

yes, i installed the same Mibo canopy system as you have, and i would recommend adding them to that area. you can build up the 3 pieces in a "C" shape then glue it to the inside of the fuse around...

the 3 carbon pieces frame in the little square section directly behind the canopy. you have to cut the former that sits right there and add these. this makes that area open for the scale canopy...

that is correct. it is supposed to be mounted to the ply rails frame. the cutouts let the forward edge of the cone project forward and glue into the frame from 1o'clock to 5o'clock and from 7 to 11....

well.... im actually building 2 side by side (huge job). #1 is done and delivered and im clear coating #2 next weekend.
i built them side by side but pushed to get 1 done when i came to finishing....

i can answer #4, the gear is spring and hydraulic. the springs are too weak and need to be replaced with stiffer ones (there is a lot of discussion regarding this in this thread, also solutions that...

exactly!!
this positions the gear correctly in the well, and all the doors fit. you will need to clearance the large hinged door's inner skin as said earlyer.

VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!
the wood shim is required between the rear retract bolts and the wing lower surface......this may be your issue with the small forward door fitting, if you do not have the shim...

you do have to remove a small square of inner door to make it clear the retract body. this is on the main, large rear door. if you look closely at the above picture you will see this square removed,...

i personally would worry about painting them and getting them un-balanced.
could you possibly dye them a grey color with rit dye and hot water? done that to nylon quite a bit.
i have a 3D printer...

Well im 99% sure i fixed my gear issue.
removed the inner spring, went to the hardware store and found a new inner spring, with reverse wind from the outer spring, the same length as the outer...

now im the one with the gear issue......

last night i was manually compressing the gear (they are not final installed yet) when i heard a snap, and the spring action was suddenly weak and zero...

sounds like it may be a UP valve issue if others are doing great with 100 psi. i dont know much about the UP line of valves.

strength of lifting is a function of pressure, not so much flow, which is what more or a larger valve would offer.....although it would help a bit.

what pressure are you running? i assumed to...

might see footage of Craig..... who knows?
