Is the robart gear a problem? Mine has been pretty trouble free for 30+ flights. I like the scale look of the sierra better, but didn't want to hack up the wing.

17mm taller in the head, and 30mm longer from the mount. I won't have to cut up the firewall, that would have been a deal breaker. I don't care it if hangs out a bit on the bottom, this plane is...

Has anyone put a DLE 85 on the wulf yet? I might order the engine this week.. Giving up my electric start is going to be brutal! It flies (I'm guessing) very scale with the DLE 55, but I need more...

Put 6 flights on the 190 today, hot humid day here in Seattle, unusual weather for us. The plane was sluggish. Pulled the three bladed prop and went to a 23x10, still sluggish. One of the guys at...

RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF

Chris, formation/tandem flying with the scale planes is the only way I can do it without falling asleep. If Roberto and I are at the field, every flight with the wulfs is together, lots of fun. I...

RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF

I've got close to 100 flights between two of them and they have been flawless. I have not touched the needles on either of them. I have flown in 40 degrees and 75 degrees... they just work. How...

RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF

Chris, Your wish is my command.... Didn't take an hour to install, might take an hour to cut out all the lead I glassed into the front of the cowl! EDIT: It just donned on me that I can probably...

RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF

Chris, I am putting the electric start in this plane and probably my pilot sbach 50cc, I ordered two of them... John Smith had it on his wulf, too cool to watch it start on its own. I think it...

RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF

Hey Dean, Three of us have the wulf down here, be cool for you to bring it down one weekend for a little formation flying! My tail wheel spun on me a few times, causing the plane to turn hard the...

Then he should get booted. Not cool if he has a record of that type of behavior! I rescind my original impartial peace making statement![>:]
Here's some more wulf pics to get the topic back on...

RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF

Easy to place blame when you weren't there LOL. If you watched the video, the heli was inverted at an angle, it was not stationary... Its all about spotters. Helis and planes can coexist with a...

RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF

I like the way you think! ;) Pain getting that eagle off the cowl huh? This is my first warbird, a lot more fun to fly than I thought. My buddy and I are "trying" to fly formation, good times.

RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF

I installed the mechanical tail wheel retract last night. Other than some trimming of the stringers, it was very simple. I need to figure out how far in the tail wheel needs to go retracted. I...

RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF

Is it necessary to cut such a big hole in the bottom? Are you guys doing it for cooling? Mine is on the bench, been trying to sneak out in the garage once in a while during the break!

RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF

I have the DLE 55RA on another plane. The mounting pattern is different than the side exhaust. So, you may be creating more work for yourself. I thought the rear exhaust would be ideal, but tower...

RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF

OK, and where would one find such magical round shiny things? Sierra is out, he won't sell to me because he only has a few left.

RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF

What are you guys doing for wheels? I am using the robart gear, prefer the sierra's, but don't want to cut into the wing to make the mod.
