RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Jack, your finger is looking MUCH better.... whew!

Mathew, as you probably know, ST says you can lean the midrange by rotating the spraybar a bit -- fuel nipple towards the engne mounting lug. ...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

I think Jack is right about the "ball links." I find myself using them more and more, especially if there is some movement in more than one plane that tends to stress clevises. Another neat thing...

Wow, I didn't check in with you guys for a little while and found myself...... 10 pages behind! What a fun and prolific group you are!

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Hi Jack, thanks for the info. I'm still a little confused though. If you are running a check valve in the pressure line to the tank, you need a regulator. Were you having tuning problems with a...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Adam, have you tried going into a torque roll from your hovers yet? So far I haven't been able to make the transition...... advise needed! I keep trying it on the simulator but loose orientation...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Slightly thinner wire for the antenna solves the problem of being too tight in a tube. I got a roll from the train section of a hobby shop. An antenna is just a piece of wire 1 meter (39.5" or so)...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Waldo, I have a friend whose twist had fluttering (twitching is a better word?) surfaces from the electrics somewhere too. He finally cured it by re-routing the antenna further away from the servos...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Wizz, I have a magnum 46 that I love..... hope yours works as well. I have on OS carb and a magnum 52 (extra volume) muffler on mine. It just screams. I run an APC 12x4 on it (4* 40 plane) and it...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Wow, great flat spinning stories! You twist guys are awsome. My 4* 40 will finally flat spin too since *****g out the throws. Dihedral planes won't flat spin inverted though. Are you guys flat...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Waldo, when applying rudder the plane is going to mostly yaw. Usually when turning we are coordinating rudder and elevator. Try (just) hitting the rudder though and make mental notes of what...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Planes without dihedral do tend to have opposite roll coupling (not a good thing), unless the wings have tapered leading edges. Other Twist guys, check for this and look closely? Also, pitch...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

A nice fitting wing saddle (most arf's don't fit real clean) takes some load off of the dowels I think. Do you guys know how to make one? I'll share if anyone cares, maybe others have a different...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Adam, I never cared for the idea of using that little dial for moving the flaps (ailerons, flaperons) up and down. Even if you put a mark on the dial, it's just to iffy. You might set it up so that...
