if you look on page 23 I post the steering mod (withOUT) pics and two posts later someone is asking where they can get info on the steering mod...LOL, for real?

go to ace hobby forums and check under the ST-1 for saxton's steering mod. Its also more detailed under the TTR section of truggyracers.com but those guys are <edited>.

parts required:
4x80mm...

I did the saxton mod

1. cut the ears off the ackerman plate and use 80mm turnbuckles to connect to the only holes left on the ackerman, youll need a 25mm screw to go through the ackerman,...

its between 3 and 4 as all engines are different. I called Ace and they said its a misprint in the book for 6.5 they said 3.5 is the ball park.

no reason unless youre going to go to 1/5 scale which will be my next purchase I think. I love my st-1, I went down to a construction site and was hill climbing, jumping and rolling end over end...

well if you saw pictures, cut the ears off the ackerman then where are you connecting the rod ends to? The stock screw is not long enough to fit through the ackerman, the servo saver, the rod ends...

seems right to me. What is the question? yu reinstalled everything and dont have more steering? Did you cut the turnbuckles down by a couple threads? and got 25mm screws for the ackerman? Thats...

I think most of them come with it but I have the RTR. I know there are alot of different degree blocks and things. I haven't had any problems with parts availability because I havent bought any. ...

its as good as you can expect for $115. if you want a $115 engine then this would be a good one to get, Id probably buy it instead of an STS engine. I would personally look at the LRP Z.28 Spec3...

Ace hardware should have the engine mount screw you need unless you've lost the washer as well then that's a little more tricky, as a temp but solid fix you can use a buttonehead with a flat washer,...
