willus,

It sounds like that servo horn adapter might be a little too big for that servo, try some of the other adapters that came with the DB01 or a Kimbrough, I use them in alot of my cars...

Theres a red dot on the spring, thats how you can tell the tension on them, the TRF springs are white

He doesnt have to swap out parts if he doesnt want to, it depends on what it will be used for, but out of all the parts,he should get a slipper

501x diff halves, ceramic or carbide bearings, and good diff lube with the stock diff gear and diff rings

I will agree with the difference in the kits softer material, Ive built other kits for a few friends and the kit screws were alot easier to use than when I built mine.

Actually at the track I go to Ive seen that new Cat, it looks awesome but I didnt bring my Durga that day so I didnt race but from seeing it perform it a great car, the 511 is an awesome car too
