RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I agree, if you are unhappy with your boat, then just send it back for replacement. The factory SV is a good platform to start with, almost everybody modifies them.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

How are you charging your packs? NiMhs need special care while charging. Never charge on automatic, instead charge at 1C. Also, bring the boat in as soon as you notice a sgnificant performance drop....

Try Offshore Fast Electrics for the trim tabs. They also sell other bling for your Vee. Fast delivery too!

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Yes, they do bolt right on the old holes, but they can still be moved up and down on the transom. I don't want them to cause unecessary drag.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I finally got my adjustable trim tabs from OSE. I know there is info in this giant thread about the exact position measured up from the hull bottom, but can't seem to find it. Can someone give me a...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Try the x-440/3. I get my best results from this prop.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

You don't need a j-pipe. Just add a transom mount water pick-up and the OFE cooling jacket. That should keep things plenty cool. Also, take the time to read this thread. It is rather lengthy, but it...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Well guys, I finally managed to break my drive dog. I ordered a complete assembly with flex shaft and a couple of new dogs from OFE. Damn< I was just getting to the really fast zone when this...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

That is strange. I have the same prop SBP and the boat scoots out within about 6 feet to get on plane. Any shaft binding going on?

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Next time out, have your friend toss the boat into the water whlie you hold throttle. 3-blades tend to cavatate and this will help the boat get on plane

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Hmm, okay, I'm going to order a 440/3 and SBP it myself. I'm actually getting quite good at it. Went for another test run with the 42/55 yesterday, but the lake was mirror-like and damn the fall. I...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

So is the 40/52 3 (Grimracer) the same as a 440/3? It appears to be the same as the stock prop in pitch and overall shape. Anyone running this prop?

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I just installed Grim's 42/55 prop after S/P. I had to re-trim the rudder and the hull began to wallow back and forth at WOT after runnig through my wake(chine walk). I remember someone talking...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

The x645 will give you great speed. I would get used to the boat stock first. Be sure to get a good radio and receiver because the stock one is junk. When you start using bigger props, you need to...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Where can I order a x645 prop? I am in the testing phase and already have x440 and 52/2. Thanks! Okay, never mind. I just ordered custom trim tabs and the prop from OFE. Anybody running Sv's in...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

The Prather b220 is still a great all-round prop. Very little cav. and great speed. Thought my SV was fast until a guy showed up with a Drifter with twin Plettenbergs and newest Lipo technology. The...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I flipped my Supervee in the middle of the lake. Since there was no wind or boaters on the water, I drove the boat back to shore upside-down! Was full of water upon retrieval but I dried it out with...
