you will not be dissappointed with the hs65's, the plane is a whole new beast with those servos,

just make sure you re-set all your dual rates and expos,

i didnt do that after switching...

the hitec hs55's are great for this plane, if you want super strong torque then go for the hs65's! Those things will roll your plane on a dime not to mention that they are carbonite gears!

Plane is defintily not a trainer due to several reasons

1) the flyzone cub has great self righting characteristics that the MP will not

I would recommend reinforcing the landing gear with some ply as well, doesnt hurt and there isnt too much weight penalty. The PNP motor is a bit wierd, mine also makes that grounding noise but it...

if you could take pictures of the landing gear modification (and post them) it would really help as to how and where you did it :) god knows how many people have lost their MP's to landing gears...

How did you reinforce the gear on the MP?

I reinforced the gear on my eflite extra 260 480 by using two piece of ply, did you use the same technique?

i used to have the same issue as well, that is exactly wht is happening, you can give a little throttle to keep the speed up and then back down, and it will still still descend

well so far, i have had about 6 flights with the PNP pulse and it hasnt failed, but i always let the esc cool down for about 20 minutes between each flight beucase of this statement found in,

Yea, the programmable radios with the ability to set throw rates is a great help, i do my take-offs and landings at 100% throws and my landings at 70% elevator and aileron
