RE: New Great Planes Revolver

The Saito 91 with a straight pipe exhaust (my preferred exhaust on Saitos) weighs about the same as the OS 55 AX with muffler.

I think I will one day put a Saito 91 in a Revo59. Had one for...

RE: New Great Planes Revolver

I was amazed when I ripped my gear out. NOT a bad landing. Apparently it's a common problem on a lot of GP planes of this size. After some wood and gorilla glue it's been perfect. I just put a...

RE: New Great Planes Revolver

If we didn't crash it wouldn't be nearly as exciting.

I wonder if a 13x9 on that .91 would be any faster....ever try it?

A better spinner is the 3.25" great planes nylon-aluminum spinner.

RE: New Great Planes Revolver

I use a Saito .72 in my Revolver, so I knew I wouldn't need such a large tank. I have a 10 or 12oz dubro tank installed with some foam around it to take up the space

RE: New Great Planes Revolver

Might have had a touch too much elevator throw. I've had mine snap out a time or two. I've decreased the elevator throw quite a bit. at 100mph it certainly doesn't take much....

RE: New Great Planes Revolver

The beauty of raising compression is you can use lower nitro.

RE: New Great Planes Revolver

Be prepared for a few fly-bys when you try to land it. Have enough fuel for 3-4 attempts.

RE: New Great Planes Revolver

I have a Saito .72 in my small revolver. It is crazy fast. I've tried 11x11, 12x9 and 13x8 props. I like the 13x8 best.
I have a Saito .82 that would presumably be faster, but really, it's...

RE: New Great Planes Revolver

RE: New Great Planes Revolver

my valve covers stick out of the bottom and have never touched the ground in 100 flights. it requires absolutely no elevator input to keep the tail firmly on the ground.

All my other planes...
