I too second the steel wool. Get the really fine stuff and it will work just fine. I use it all the time on chrome bumpers to remove bugs and salt rust from winter and it never leaves a scratch....

No, the sim plug doesnt charge the TX battery. You have to use the wall jack for that.

That linkage kit is pretty slick. I used one on my magnum in a twist 40. I had to use some different screws and lock nuts, but it worked well. Good luck on yours.
