RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

While I'm here, I might as well ask a question which has very, very little to do with the Ace at all, but plenty to do with lipos and you micro people are some of the best around for that kind of...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

You could try the wheels and axle from a hot wheels car. It's worked in the past. Or, like Gary said, the ever-popular small buttons worke well. The problem I've always seen with landing gear is that...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Ron, that CX Micro is possibly the coolest thing I've ever seen in my life. Yesterday at the hobby shop they had one out, not flying, just sitting on the counter. You can't possibly appreciate how...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Alright, well I took the matter into my own hands with the RF guts. I just happened to have a perfect set of guts on hand and some sheets of Cell Foam 88. Man, I love that stuff! Anyway, I tried to...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Hi, folks, I'm back. Man, this thread is long!!!!! Alright, well, down to business. Has anyone managed to stick Rolling Fury guts in an AA fuse? I'm currently wrapped up in a whole bunch of things so...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Mwa hah hah hah hah hah!!!!! My transistor/big motor/big plane idea actually works!!!!!!!!!! A while ago, I put forth a theory about how a big huge plane could be controlled with AA elecs. I just...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Avoid that RaidenTech plane like the plague!!!! I bought one once and I'm still undergoing therapy for the awful psychological effects it had on me.

Bad points:

3-cell...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

A long time ago I decided that if it's possible, it's easy;) Regarding the speed control method, don't you think that since the AA ESC is running power through the transistor, it'll have some effect?...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Aww, who cares? I'll just go fry an rx NOW! I've actually been thinking (excruciatingly painful thing to do) and I came up with another idea: a flat foam aero ace! I'll make it out of foam board and...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

All right, I have a slightly odd idea: Would it be possible to take an AA RX and solder in some transistors instead of motors and run some bigger motors off a higher voltage from a bigger batt and...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Tim, what's the red and blue mono? I like it.

Let's all take a moment and grieve over our empty wallets- uh, reflect on the joys in this past year of flight.( That sounds nicer, right?)...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Eh? Why not go see Rdy12's profile? He and I are the same person and "we" joined somewhere in '05, I believe...

Micro hadn't heard of the Synapse so I told him what it was. Where's the harm in...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Hmmm, does anyone have any tips for a 20-inch plane made from glider wingtips? They have some odd little "stabilizers" that look like they'll screw up the stability and cause general trouble.

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Eh? Haven't heard of the Synapse? Go to Youtube and find some vids. You'll figure it out;) I'm in Minneapolis, and within easy biking distance from 3 parks with decent-sized fields. Oh and a...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Oh, by the way, how do I land my Synapse without ripping off the air intake? It has no landing gear to put space between it and the ground... Now there's a project for next weekend!

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Why not bolt a Hyperflow DF onto the underside of each wing with brushless motors? Really expensive but pretty much a gurantee for 100mph. Or possibly one of those things NASA is working on... the...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

100mph? Are you serious? That's as fast as my Synapse! I have some batt advice: Go 3S. It's not much heavier and it's far more powerful. A motor that size can handle it, right? I want to find out if...
