RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

Check this heli out, very similar to the Shark. It's the RTF version of the Hone HF-001, where as the Shark is the RTF version of the HF-006. Same head, tail, gears and boom as the Shark. ...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

I learned (and still learning) on Realflight G4. Personally, I found it beneficial to fly all of the helis (at least the pod & boom ones, not the scale ones). The little Helimax was good because it...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

Glad the falcon is an aqua-falcon! Hey, exactly which helis do you have? I thought you said you ordered a BH 500 from a guy. Did you get the 450 instead? I'm interested to hear your comparison to...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

That's a sweet looking 500. When you say you're after a 500 class bird, do you mean Black Hawk 500, or T-rex 500, cause they are very different in size (as I'm sure you already know). Just...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

Is that the same one that Nitro posted pics of? If so, I totally agree, an awesome looking bird. Please post your pics, with price, "name" of chopper (if there is one, and a link, if available? ...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

too funny, i think that's more of a "redneck" post than an "american" post (and trust me, I'm well qualified to spot redneck, my older brother and sister-in-law went deer hunting for their honeymoon,...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

Nitro, respectfully, I don't know what you're talking about. As Rusty (Betapilot) said already today on this thread (and confirmed to me via phone), he's selling it for $149, not $170. So since you...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

Although not "readily available" yet (that'll be up for him to announce), here's the link to the seller that will be selling the HF-006: www.castlerockhobbies.com

I've already spoken for two...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

Ginnz (and everyone else), I just spoke with Betapilot, and he said that he ordered 10 of the Hone HF-006's. Guys, this thing is top notch. The only thing not like the Shark is the canopy, because...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

LOL, Ginnz, my Shark came with the gyro mounted down there! I guess that the idiot that put it back together in the crash repair shop liked that location better than on top. That's the only thing...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

Hi, Betapilot. Are you talking to these guys here about the Hone HF-006? I brought up the Hone to these guys a few weeks ago (page 5 of this forum). Sounds like you've ordered something, though,...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

Neat, thanks much for that. I've got my DX7 ready to go into the Hone, that tells me that the learning curve on setting it up will be worth it in the end, versus going with a non-programmable radio.

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

So are you all saying the stock radio setup has some "limitations" that you can actually see/feel while flying the Shark?

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

Well, boys, I shipped my Shark back today, looks like I won't be joining your club [&o]. I'll be building my Hone HF-003, and a little later this year, I'll be getting the HF-006. The seller Steve...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

Thanks, guys. I'm supposed to talk to Rusty this afternoon, figure out what to do.

In the meantime, based on what I saw yesterday, I found the Hone that is 100% like the Shark 450, check this...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

According to Art-Tech's website, the AS-100 has the same speed (0.12 sec), but higher torque (1.2 kg versus 1.0) than the AS-090. But dimensions, ah, there's some telling info. The AS-100 is...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

Rusty shipped my Shark today (blue canopy, billet skids, fiberglass blades, extra battery), said it flew "killer". :D Also bought a DX7/AR6100/DS285 combo and a Hobbywing ESC from him that had a...
