It sure sounds like the ARF to me. I've had the kit and the ARF. Why do you think it's not the ARF?

You are probably right about the original being dark blue. All of them I built I used Sky Blue and the ARF I had later on from goldberg was sky blue.

Inverted for sure. The cowl will be much easier to fit and the exhaust will point down not to the side.

I may get blasted for this but the 100cc Mamba from Flex Innovations is an incredible airframe. I am not a Ultimate hater. I've owned several of the 54" over the last 20 years. It's a great sport...

acdii, mount the servos in the lower wing for sure. It's a much better setup. Think about mounting to micro servos in the tail instead of mounting a second in the wing area. Although I flew every one...

I've never flown a bad one and I would estimate 20+ different ones over the years.

The Goldberg Ultimate is one the best kits ever made IMHO. Iv'e owned three and probably flown 12 more over the years. As long as it's not dead stick it is a very forgiving plane. It can also put on...

I would probably do the 1/4x20 also. Been a few years since I had the ARF. I think I used the stock setup but mine lined up.

RE: Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.

Jean Paul, The fire wall does not have thrust built into it, but the front of your cowl does. If it were mine, I would see how much thrust is there. This way the finished model has the spinner...

Looks like a good place to start Mike. You will be glad you decided to redo it when it's flying again.

RE: Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.

The CG sweet spot for me is 3". That is from the LE of the lower wing @ the fuse. I flip it over and just run my finger tips back on the top of the lower wing. (which is now facing down). Snaps and...

RE: Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.

I run mine at 3" back at the fuse of the lower wing. Balance inverted(using the top of the lower wing). These Ults are very CG tolerant. Flat spins @ 3" are just right, as are Lomcevaks. No bad...

OK I read in an earlier post you reinforced it. I never had one break there, but did break the ply tabs the cabanes mount to in the fuse. Blenders are so unreal with one of these, the ply let...

RE: Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.

My OS 1.20AX is one of the best two strokes I have ever owned. There are more powerfull 1.20s out there. But this thing is easy to start, easy to modulate power, and has never dead sticked. It's...
