RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

You need 14.8 volts for the SV or one 7.4v pack per side. The MaxAmps Saddle is only 7.4v total.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I use clear hockey tape. It is very cheap and can be stretched to fit the SV hatch. I don't like the Grim Racer clear tape either.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I soder my stick packs end to end with a hammer head tip. Packs built this way are more effective because the connection distance between cells is only a fraction of an inch compared to the length of...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I have the SV electric and have driven both. I prefer the electric version for many reasons. The performance is very close out of the box. The nitro boat we had was no faster out of the box but this...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Stick, I read some where that Emoli Lipos can be safely discharged down to 2.5 volts per cell. I'm using a Novak 4cell Smart Stop with my SuperVee though.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

That is the low voltage cut off. It will beep when your batteries get below a certian voltage. After the boat sits for a moment the voltage will recover in the batteries and the ESC will re-arm. If...

It is the teflon liner. With the motor off you can slide the liner into the brass stuffing tube from the front untill it stops. Then use a sharp knife to cut it off just slightly...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I wouldn't run it. The support could slide down the brass tube and get into the prop or drive dog. I think the screws are 4mm.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Just use a 10mm and 12 mm wrench to loosen the drive adaptor and pull the drive shaft out. You don't have to undo the steering linkages and take the radio box out like the manual suggests.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I don't know if this is the right place to ask but does anyone know if the bearings on the SV 27 motor can be changed. Doesn't look like the end bells can be removed. Thanks.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Quik question Grimracer. How come you recomend a 36/50 motor over one of the 36/56 (same size as stock) motors on Towers site? Thanks.
