I just took some pics of the truck to show it off and explain the carb issue. I have to say I am very impressed with how it performs. it doesn't handle as well as the LST but it sits higher too.

you are pretty much right. one of the previous owers tigthen it down too tight and disfigured the out side of the carb neck were the "bolt collet" bites into the carb so there wasn't much for it to...
