RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

I too am getting ready to add flaps to my Trojan. Am using the DX6i also and would like to know how to program spoilers. I've messed with the radio and read the manual online but can't seem to get...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

For the Trojan?

I really have not considered it because the BL 480 and EFlite 25Amp ESC are really good (IMO).

I would consider changing the Rx to a Berg or Spektrum before anything else. I...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

GaGeeBees, you hit the nail on the head. After some testing today and a new motor mount with a new 3-bladed Master 9x7, it works like a charm!

Thanks all for your input and help!

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Once I get another motor mount I will try another prop just to rule out the possibility of an out of balance prop. Here's the pics:

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Yeah, it's stock. As a matter of fact the third one I had just broke about 15 minutes ago.

I had the plane set up on my work table and started at very low RPM, maybe 20% throttle for about 5...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

No, even though it was windy, I kept both the Trojan and the Supercub chocked pretty good.

Both of my broken motor mounts resulted in torque from the motor! I am seriously upset about that....

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Finally was able to go flying with my T-28 after landing gear strut cover mod, and installation of my new AR6200 for my DX6i.

Had a great afternoon of flying with no crashes!

BUT........I...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Hey Raz, I am headed up to try my planes out at 8500' instead of my normal 2000' and I'll try out the oleo shocks and let you know how they work. Also, does anyone know if adding Deans connectors to...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Got a new sticker for my toolbox. Also I recevied new decals in the mail, but should I put them on before or after the packing tape on the wings/fuselage?

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Raz, thanks for the input. I am gonna try it as soon as I finish the nosewheel oleo and mount them to the plane. I'm thinking some kind of damper or something for teh "bounciness". Right now I am...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

I would really love to put flaps on my T-28. I picked up 2 HS55 servos as well as some extra wiring at the EF Expo here in Gelndale last weekend......just need to print out BigTone's page on the flap...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Thanks, Emperor. I used Rust-O-Leum gray primer.

The paint job didn't help my low altitude flying though: major crack-up yesterday with a sound that can only be described as "KRUMP"!

Got a...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

I agree with Zestril. I'll keep working on it also.

Now, my new work table required a new paint job (mainly to hid the epoxy-filled fractures in the fuselage!):

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Hey guys and gals, quick question:

I had my 2nd flight with the T-28 and my first major crash (lesson learned: never fly the plane between yourself and the setting sun!)

One result of the...
