I think you will find Nandon's method of fixings is absolutely fine.

The connections on the fus side are hard mounted as in the pic and it looks to me like the connections from the wing are not...

Hi Nandan,

Pop rivets would be fine. I have used this method a few times myself with no problems. The screws method is also fine though, I normally cut the ends off the screws after putting them...

Zeev - it is the stock CARF (Tratz) air setup made for the model. Works faultlessly.
