RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

You can simulate your flex cable being under load by holding collet with wrench and turning propeller shaft nut with wrench. I am at work right now, but I wonder how far propeller shaft will move...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I think the silicone washer is a great idea. I bet it works good at keeping excessive water from mixing with the cable grease.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

It sounds like you are very close to that ragged fast edge, but if you want more stabilty bend tabs down more.

Boat will be slower and run hotter on glass smooth water. A little chop will really...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Some say water will come thru the flex cable tube when running.

Simply keep bending tabs more downward until boat rides level. Bending them too far will cause boat to slow and run hot (too much...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I do not have much experience using NIMH batteries, but speeds should still be faster using the GR 42X55 or x642 and with no problem of getting on plane fast.

For the stock SV I like using two Maxamps 2s2p 8000mah packs. If you register before ordering on their web site you will receive good discount.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

My Maxamps 2s2p 25c 8000mah packs are a verytight fit in the SV 27. I had to elimenate my receiver box so they would slide in easy. The smaller Maxamps 2s2p 20c packs are a much better fit with...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Thanks ryan t888, I thought using the small 42x55 prop with the Neu would not be a problem, but I was wrong. Next time I will bend tabs up more slightly and bring the boat in as desribed.

The 3s...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I have decided to use 4s power (two 2s2p 8000mah 25c packs ran in series). So I will have to order a few other parts such as Castles BEC, Neu motor coupler, new teflon sleeve, and 44, 45mm prop. It...
