They are quality packs...they are maxamps 4700 7 cell packs and it is only one cell, in one pack that got that hot.
I have had better luck with my 25 dollar each 6 cell Promaxx 3000mah packs than...

I didn't run the boat the whole time at 1/2 throttle I did do a fair amount of full throttle runs. The 4700 packs are normally ran in my emaxx...I just had a what the heck I might as well try them in...
