RE: SHRIKE CLUB # 1

Very nice job. You should start a covering thread. I am sure many, like myself, would like to know how you planned your covering scheme.

RE: SHRIKE CLUB # 1

The weight of the plane normally would determine the servo needed. Metal gears should hold up perfectly. I would go with the HS-85.

RE: SHRIKE CLUB # 1

Also make sure your servo is strong enough for the high speed passes you are doing. I experienced elevator failure due to a stripped servo.

RE: SHRIKE CLUB # 1

I agree so you shouldn't have made a comment on me trying to make money intead just ship the plane to him free of charge. If I was going to try to make money, I would have charge $200.00 not $30.00....

Do you think I am making money off of the plans ? Lets see how many people you make copies for and ship the plans to them for free.

RE: SHRIKE CLUB # 1

Sell it on RCU or Ebay ,it will be gone in one week tops. At 7.4 lbs , I believe most would agree it needs a bigger engine. My Rossi .60 might just do the trick.

RE: SHRIKE CLUB # 1

The notch is to help the torgue rod move up and down. As far as the wing halfs, it probably will be to much work for me but if anyone attempts this please start a thread showing your work.

RE: SHRIKE CLUB # 1

I would use servos that are equal to standard servos. The weight of the shrike .10 isn't so heavy that you would need to use ball bearing or digital servos.

RE: SHRIKE CLUB # 1

You should try the electric forums to see what you come up with as far as motor specifications on a SHRIKE. My first guess would be, electric pound for pound, would be much more heavier than glow. I...

RE: SHRIKE CLUB # 1

Did you check the antanna for breaks under the jacket ? Seems as if at high speeds the antenna was being pulled strong enough to cause this clitch if the antenna was about to break.
