Remember that the low speed needle has an effect to high speed and not the other way around. I suspect your low speed is too rich and high speed too lean. I may be wrong but your engine SHOULD...

Put your batteries in a bag under the engine in front of the firewall. You can also get cushioned boxes to keep your batteries from fuel, etc...

The H9 cap is tail heavy by nature so you may not be forced to put all servos in the tail. The G26 is not THAT heavy also. If it was my plane, I would put 2 elevator servos in the tail and 1 rudder...

Yes it is a bit tall. Depends on the angle you see the aircraft as in fact it is not THAT bad. Another factor may be that it is at the same time a bit narrow...

Do not get over 11 lbs with a good gasser and you SHOULD be OK. I personaly don't think it is the best route though. I have a 11 lbs 1/4 scale cap 232 with a YS 140 DZ and it flies great with good...
