If your using robart retracts with robostruts and land on grass you might have 14" prop tips dig in on anything but soft touch downs Depending.

The GWS model is always ON and works like a "stabilizer". it will go into action to correct for sudden changes in yaw that is not input by you. besides engine out it will also help with crosswind...

I like what I've seen/heard about the Proxxon and in the mid $300s it's more in my price range than the Byrnes which when complete will run around $540 ( Byrnes Table Saw ) . I appreciate the value...

Isn't that the same engine norman is using ? Are you thinking of going to a bigger prop ? How heavy is your plane ? (I like the solid nose). How did you get the fuse stripes off ?

What pilots (and gunner) did you use ? Pre-painted? I haven't been able to fine any true 1/9 scale figures, most are 1/8 which makes them look kinda big headed.

On the bench, I'm getting around 9300 with mas 12/8, wildcat 20/18, and F plugs, idle after 40min breakin around 1850 with Mc Daniel glow driver. No flight time yet, got about 1 hour...

I believe most are using Master Airscrew 12x8. That's what I'm using with saito 72's and I believe Norman is using the same with 82's.... Norman ??

On the CG thing.... are you using the stock tires?. I'm not quite finnished yet but I'm using 4" robart tires/alum wheels and prelim testing show that I get a big shift with gear up...
