The VXl's ESC is "water resistant". I'm not sure, but I think you can't use a voltage cutoff device with the blue Xl-5 ESC, and you can with the yellow Xl-5. I'm not 1005 positive though.

Yep, if you want to fry your ESC in 3 seconds! LOL I wouldn't go higher than a 7 cell nihm with the XL-5.

Because when you're trying to turn at 60+ mph plastic turnbuckles just aren't going to cut it. That's also why you need the stronger servo. These are just the basic upgrades even Traxxas knew to put...

Get RPM castor blocks, I have them on my Rusty VXL and they have not broke yet and they have a liftime warranty. Plus they are way lighter than aluminum.

What do you guys think, right now I have traxxas nitro rear a-arms on my VXL, I do have RPM's too, which should I put on? I guess the nitro a-arms are for more toe in.
