RE: NGH 38CC 4 stroke

It's been called silver brazing for as long as I can remember. I used it extensively on bronze and stainless steel in marine applications. 90,000 psi tensile strength if properly done.

RE: NGH 38CC 4 stroke

Probably a translation-thing. Here we would call that stuff "Brazing". Harder and stronger than solder. Good luck with it, you did a very nice job of it.

SJN: Tie the muffler to the airframe with some safety wire so you don't lose it if / when the solder joint lets go.

RE: NGH 38CC 4 stroke

I flew at Marymoor back in the mid-80's. At that time, it wasn't unusual to see an airplane, out of control, doing 100 mph through the pit area, inverted. That's how the nickname "Scarymoor" started....

RE: NGH 38CC 4 stroke

They are steel and I once repaired one on a Saito 82 by mig welding it. You have to be careful as they are thin, but it can be done.

RE: NGH 38CC 4 stroke

It can be found online, Ernie. It's seldom cheap, but it's gas-proof and resists VERY high temps. Perfect for exhaust use.

Silicone Should NOT be used with petroleum-based fuel. The fuel and it's residules will destroy the silicone pretty quickly. Use Teflon (PTFE) instead. It holds up much longer.

"Will never escape and make solutions"? I think that's an apology of sorts... I think. It's O.K. Michaelchow, your English is a hell of a lot better than my Mandarin. :)
