RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Gain/sensitivity is for the gyro. Too low and the tail will drift, too high and it will wag back and forth. Extent is the amount of servo travel – how far the servo arm moves at full stick. If...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

It appears to me that the receiver has a failsafe – when the signal strength gets below a certain level it cuts throttle to warn you that you are at the edge of loosing control. My Futaba radio...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

When we did the range test we communicated by radio – I warned servo test and moved a stick and my brother answered forward/left etc. Then I warned throttle and he answered yes of no. At about...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

I think I'm pretty much done flying these things.

The falcon is barely 2 years old and they quit making parts for it and expect me go buy version 2. The belt cp isn't that old and they quit...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Naaah - I don't think so.

My (and many others) experience has been you don't if they have till after you order it. And if they don't have it, they will sit on the entire order for however long...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

I've been looking around just window shopping. A few places have the blade cp bare bones real cheap, and there are some cheap options for motors, esc, etc. But it's just like the falcon, there's a...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

I have a couple questions -

First - does anyone here know what's up with Michael? Seems like when something is out of stock it never shows as back in stock. And nothing for the ver2 walkera...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

It's latin - sort of. That's the Possom Lodge motto from the Red Green show. I think the only real word is quando, the rest are made up. Flunkus is a lot funnier word for fail the real word...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Nascar - visabilty is a real problem for me. This thing reminds me of that potter kid and his invisable cloak... I can hear laughing in the shadows but can't see it.
That last vid of the falcon...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Thanks Max - I kinda figured as many times as I recorded the falcon flying, it was time for it to return the favor and shoot some video of me.

Nascar - not sure when it happened, but the nose...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Another short video from a different perspective. Yes, it was shot this morning; and yes, it is cloudy, cool and feels like rain. The rumors are true... up here in the northwest we don't tan, we...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

You should be able to carefully pry it off with a small scewdriver or an x-acto knife. Clean all the gunk off of the radio and frame and remount it with 2 sided tape. You can get the tape at a...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Been using Super Paddles for a few days now, and I don’t think anyone else here has tried or said anything about them.

They are smaller than the OEM paddles, and weigh less. I find that on a...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

It's deja vu all over again. My bro hasn't flown his since we did that video showing his xtreme motor sparking. He put the old century motor back in yesterday and the main wouldn't spin. The 4 in...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

So – my red canopy looked real nice on the ground, but turned black at a short distance. If I flew it in front of a fir tree (and we have lots of those) I couldn’t see it.

Stripped it...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

I say this kind of tongue in cheek 'cause it's only recently I've made it to point of a hover. After a few basic checks that we should do all the time anyway (paddles, blades, etc) I'm thinking the...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Yeah, really. Left trim is slowing the motor down and one thing we don't hear often is "that falcon tail motor is way too powerful". :D

If Daves suggestions don't work (and my thought was the...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

That's cool Gary, thx. There are enough reference objects (garden hose, door frame, etc) that I get a good feel of distance and that's a great reference shot. I wanted to take a picture but it would...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Might be of interest to version 2 flyers.

I’m using the walkera 2401 transmitter and the 2421 receiver. This is the same radio combination used on the walker 4 ver2 and the falcon 40 ver 2.

Did you get the rotor head from wow, or did you mean your looking into the brushless from them? I'm still giving brushless real thought.

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

After only a few flights my brothers xtreme 380 failed. Lots of sparks. At low throttle you can hear it cutting out and see the servos move all by themselves. At higher throttle the servos move...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Pretty much so. The gws prop adapter uses allen head set screws instead of the large ones the xtreme uses so clearance isn't a big issue, but I did the same as you for the short time my brother had...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

It looks like you have the blade mounted right. When I first installed the gws motor I had the blade reversed - it was spinning backward and I had the leading edge working as the trailing edge. It...
