RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Well, I was going to upload a video, but I can't seem to find a format that RCU will accept, how did you save your video to be able to upload it?
Here's a link to it on youtube, only way I could get...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Cool video! I recognized some of the landscape too! My family went to Disney this spring. Two of my daughters are in the high school marching band and they perform at Epcot every couple of years. We...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Nice video!
I bought another 808 from a local store and returned the first one, should be getting a replacement for it soon and then I'll have one to mount on another plane. The instructions that...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

The one I have is probably not HD either, but that's fine for what I want to do. I've got the recording and downloadin figured out. Now I just can't understand their instructions for changing the...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

I just bought one of those 808 cameras myself, just came in the mail. I have it plugged into my USB port and I think the battery is charging right now. I have a slow flashing yellow light. Any tips...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

I've replaced several of those nose gear steering arms and never had to cut out the firewall like that, but I will admit it is difficult to get the push rod thru the arm. I do it by pulling the foam...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Yes, high watts (or amps) from too big a battery and/or too much prop. Usually you will fry the stock Esc first, but if you've upgraded that, you will probably get the motor. Even with the stock...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

The amp load is not your problem, the plastic can and/or the windings on that stock motor will get hot and melt if you are not carefull. When that happens you can pretty much save it for parts.

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

I had one of mine set up with flaperons, I didn't like it and removed it. They made the plane very unstable at low speeds, especially in any crosswind. This plane lands great like it is, I personally...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Don't remove the tape over the magnet!! The glue that holds the magnet in will not last long, the tape helps.;)

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Everything I've tried so far has been some kind of a trade off. The stock prop is about the lightest you can find and will give the longest flight times (pull the least amps for a given speed). But...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

I think there's some posts on this subject further back in this thread that may have some better methods, but on the ones I've replaced, I pryed the firewall away from the fuse enough to slip the arm...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

I had one that had been repaired and turned left as you describe. The wing was not level / square with the fusalage and tail surface due to warpage in the wing itself. The wooden spar inside the wing...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Ddog could be right. I assumed you have the stock radio system, in which case the Bec is built in to the rx.

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

I would have to play the odds and say there is no way 4 servos went bad at the same time without something else going on. There are only 3 things in common with all four servos, the rx, battery, and...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

I've got a total of 12 of planes with these servos, ie J-3bls,T-28s,Corsair,Typhoon. All have over 50 flights each and I've only had one go bad. Aileron servo on a T-28.

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

T-28 will handle the weight of the Futaba rx just fine, but its a little thicker than the Parkzone Rx. Should fit fine in the original rx location, but if you put it some where else you might have...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Its very hard to put enough glue and/or tape on a t-28 and cause the Cg to move very far. I've fixed a bunch of them. If anything, they're more sensitive to nose repairs than tail repairs as you can...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

I had an esc on my trojan do the same thing, about half power. Got a new esc and took old one apart just out of curiousity. Found 2 of the 6 little "chips inside were burnt. Don't know if...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

My experience is you can charge 3 cell lipo's several times without balancing as long as your voltage cuttoff is set right so you don't completely drain the pack. The middle cell will usually get...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Ditto what dwilt72 said, the Parkzone charger will charge the Zippy's just fine while they work, but its only a matter of time till you have problems with these chargers. I've had 3 go bad where they...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

I have flown both planes and I love the Corsair but I would reccomend the Trojan first if you are not skilled with ailerons. Trojan lands a little easier, handles a little slower, more...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Flaps aren't a bad idea, but I got one of my T-28 to land a little slower by adjusting both ailerons down a little. Don't go too far though, or it will be too unstable at higher speeds. In regards...
