My setup is using the yellow line for the main gear (gear up) and the...

RE: CARF-Models P-47 Thunderbolt

Does anyone have a engine baffling template for the Moki 250 fitted on the CARF P-47? My moki runs hot in my CARF Corsair and want to try baffling on my P-47.
Thanks
Tim

Here are some pictures of my install. Got to work on canopy, throttle connection, figure out how I will do choke and then prep for paint.

RE: CARF-Models P-47 Thunderbolt

With the detailed panel lines and raised panels, does the CARF P-47 represent the P-47C or D?
The 3 view in the instruction manual indicates a C model but the CARF website P-47 description states a...

RE: CARF-Models P-47 Thunderbolt

Whew, thanks Richard. I was racking my brain cells trying to figure this out. Did you use seperate channels for the Jet Tronics and slave them to the gear channel? Not there yet but thinking ahead...

RE: CARF-Models P-47 Thunderbolt

Thats what I did. Cut a small piece for the bottom and cut to length for the top piece. Does your Jet Tronics values look like the ones in the manual. I only have one input/output on each valve...

RE: CARF-Models P-47 Thunderbolt

Thanks for the clarafication on the spacers.
The reason I asked you if you glued your dome on is because the dome I receive does not have a lot of "edge" on it. I probably only have a 1/4in from...

RE: CARF-Models P-47 Thunderbolt

Richard,
On the main gear spacers (6mm), did you take a 1mm off of both forward and aft spacer? Will the low end be installed outboard to ensure the gear retracts all the way in the wing? Also,...

RE: CARF-Models P-47 Thunderbolt

Richard,
What size servo arms are you using for each control surface. I did not see it in the instructions (recommendation) or if you already stated, I apologize for asking again. On the...

RE: CARF-Models P-47 Thunderbolt

Richard,
Congrats on your maiden flight! It appears you are very happy with the flight. Did you mix any down elevator with your flaps in either half or full? If so, what percentage? Also, did...

Yep, that was my plan, 8611's all around (control surfaces). Just wasn't sure on the number of flap servos. Hopefully my Jug will be on the next boat, still expecting in Jul.
Thanks for all help....

RE: CARF-Models P-47 Thunderbolt

Richard,
Looking great. Can't wait to hear the flight results.
How many servos will I need? Are there 4 or 2 servos for flaps?
Thanks

RE: CARF-Models P-47 Thunderbolt
