RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

Nope. The shock towers of a buggy are lower that a truggys. That means a shorter shock. The rear shocks of the S3 might be the same as the front shocks of the ST-1. Don't count on it though.

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

What is low cost? Won't need to replace for a good long time or just for now to get by? I highly suggest Hitecs' HS645MG. It's been the servo that I've keept in my pit box since forever. I keep 2 for...

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

Yes it will. The only reasons I could think that it wouldn't would be because the gearing in the servo got trashed or the carbs slide got jammed. I use the throttle retun spring from Traxxas. It has...

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

That box looks like it would only work best if the truggy was to sit sideways to start it. I think it would be a pain to get going. While you could move the starter wheel to the other hole It would...

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

First off.... that is the most awesome form of genius I've ever seen for retrofitting anything to an r/c. Where can I buy one. Second and very important about run offs. Alot of the time its a power...

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

Don't forget the Ace 1313 servo too. I use it for steering and throttle. Quick, strong and tough as nails for around 20 less than the 1075 (which is also great).

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

I found out my flux capacitor was low on muffler bearing grease which cause the piston return spring to fail. Bad day.

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

You can use a good high temp grease from the auto store. I put it on with a Q-tip. And it should be rolling freely. Most likely you will need to back the motor off a frog hair. You need a little play...

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

Why scared? I ran the mx-3 FM for about 3 years to a novak receiver in all my models. I even fell into mud with it in my hand one time. Great radio and 50 dollars less than the Spektrum, I guess I...

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

Odd that they don't fit. How far off are they? I don't have them but I do have the pro chassie on the RTR. In fact I cut some from the old chassie to put on the bottom of the new one. All the holes...

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

Alot of the time the problem comes from either the crystal being loose or a harmonic occuring on the truck somewhere that drives the recievers crystal nuts. If its not just a loose crystal, try...

RE: Thunder tiger ST-1

The heaver the diff oil the more likley you are to feel the drive of the gears. As long as you completly filled the case and let it sit for a little bit to get the air bubbles out you should be fine.
