RE: Official Rustler Thread

You'll love that motor. Its shorter then most BL motors, but it definately packs a punch. I used a Mtroniks Genesis Pro ESC with mine, so I don't really know about the Warrior ESC. Ask some guys on...

RE: Official Rustler Thread

You don't really want to add alot of weight to the front. Just figure out a few ways to move the weight you have foward. Set up the Camber with turnbuckles and get sticky tires for the front.

RE: Official Rustler Thread

The stock Traxxas XL-1 ESC will handle a 17 turn motor, or 7 cells. But not both. That is why your ESC heatsink got so hot. I used regular automotive chassis grease in the rear diff to give more LSD...

RE: Official Rustler Thread

With the Reedy 19T in the Rustler, I was running 18/81 gearing. It had alot of torque and pretty good speed, but the motor was still cool to the touch after the pack had died. I decided to bump up to...

RE: Official Rustler Thread

With my Stampede and the Reedy 19T Quad Mag, I found the best gearing with stock tires was 18/87. On my rustler with the stock 20T Stinger, I was happy with 20/84. Well today I switch the Reedy 19T...

RE: Official Rustler Thread

I liked the Losi wide pede conversion on my Stampede so well, that I decided to do it to my Rustler also. I found out that the stock steering turnbuckles work for the steering on the wide Rustler...

RE: Official Rustler Thread

I found some bearings I had lying around so I installed them on all 4 wheels. I also added 6 more pegs in the spur gear so that all 12 holes in it would have a slipper peg. That will work until I get...

RE: Official Rustler Thread

Well, since I just got a Rustler I figured I would bring this thread back up front and see what the best mods for it are. Does the Losi LXT conversion work on the Rustler? I done that to my Pede a...
