Why not clamp on some bendable pipe to the exhaust tubes and go around the retracs out the fan. The plane I fly is a TGA f-15, and the retracs are not even close to the exhaust. I know that...

I have always let the exhaust go through the fan, never had any problems. It is messy though. I also have a wesson pipe (the small one for OS-91), works well for me, no problems.
