I'm not gearing guru... Dacaur might explain better, but the lower you go in pinion, the lower your top end will be. You'll have more torque with the lower pinion. I'd say to keep the spur...

I agree 110%. If Traxxas tacked on 20.00 more bucks and included the second battery and harness, I would have been happier with the stock batts and not have invested in lipo immediately....
