RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

That prop may actually be bogging down that motor. Irun a Leopard 4074 (2200kv)in mine and now only a 43mm prop and its plenty of prop and good speed. Once you get to 45mph+ the boat is on the edge...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

That prop is demanding a large amount of current, and I'm willing to bet your batteries cant handle it. If I'm not mistaken, those are just Chinese lipos, right? If you have 4 of them try running...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

The S220 is a good prop for the sv27. The S230 is too big in my opinion. You would be going from a 40mm/2.5" pitch to a 48mm/3" pitch. Thats a huge jump in props. I think you would be happy with the...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

That should bea pretty fast setup and on the edge of control for the sv27. I ran a couple hot setups in attempt to get the most speed out of the sv27 and the plastic props just wont hold up, you need...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I need to get a waterproof gps but I think I can hit 60. I do flip a lot though and it's not something you can just put the hammer down and drive.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Sometimes the voltage will drop significantly under load as well, depending on the size and condition of your lipos. If they can't deliver the current required, the voltage can plummet, then recover...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Thanks.
Beleive it or not, none of those starts are even close to full throttle, maybe not even half. I will be able to drive it a little more aggressively (and successfully) when I get used to it...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Yeah it would be nice to know, I actually thought about putting the GPS out of my wifes van in it.  Glad I didn't because that flip in the second vid took the gelcoat off the top of the hatch cover...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

The "you be the judge" was kind of a joke.  There really is no comparison and it doesn't take a GPS to tell you that the second one is gobs faster.  The fact that I covered the length of that lake as...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Before and after vids.  The first one is my SV27 with stock motor and esc, 48mm prop, and super lightweight lipos.
The second is my current setup but with a 45mm prop.  It weighs a ton now with the...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Ryan I tried to get close to but stay under the 50,000 mark with my current setup when running 6s. The thought was to have a everyday racer on 4s and a SAW style speed machine on 6s. I ran it today...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Ran my boat today...I think I have the fastest supervee:)  I don't see how it could get any faster.  Definitely need to get away from the cf props though, I shredded two of them in a matter of...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Shen, I've never used the ebay packs you listed personally, but from what I've heard they can take a month or even a few months to arrive after you purchase them.  I'd go with the hobbycity packs. ...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

After losing the last one, I got a new flex shaft for my SV27.  I also got a new octura collar, hoping maybe that one will hold on a little better.  Anyone have any tricks I can do so I don't loose...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I'm trying to talk my buddy into a boat. What do you...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

So where do you have my 2200 Neu motor at on 4s and 6s?
I may be interested in the 15 series Neu motor you have there if I get a car I'm trying to make a deal on right now. Send me a PM with what...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I can't touch the 1521 1D on 6s...closest thing I have is a 1515 1.5D and I've never tried it on 6s.lol
I would take that 6XL Revo on with my Revo though...
What do you run the 1521 motor in? Wanna...

I see these friendly debates as a learning process, not as chest pounding arguments, and I would hope you feel the same Ryan.  Whether it be toy boats or not, I have a hard...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

More load = more current, sure. I went to college for electronics and I think I got that one down, thanks.:)
I'm not saying that my supervee motor wouldn't pull more amps turning at 1800kv with a...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I also had a vxl motor in my E Revo, and it sounded cool but was way under powered when compared to the bigger motors. It was quite obvious that it didn't have the capacity to push the same amount of...
