RE: Tuff Flight's 4D

I can answer that. We had an unusual batch of coreplast last year that had smaller than normal flutes in it. It is almost impossible to get the CF elevator axel completely inserted into that type...

RE: Tuff Flight's 4D

Some people use Rust-o-lium spray on the coreplast with good results, but it won't last forever. The bat is even worse for taking paint. Bottom line is, if yoour going to fly alot it's simpler to...

Yes, GO, away.

Q: What's the difference between the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Strangler?
A: One chokes only in October.

It will be interesting. (Just swept the Indans) :D

RE: Tuff Flight's 4D

Cool! Your gona love doing Rollers and Waterfalls. Hint: The 4D waterfalls better than most, just use full down elevator, full throttle and half right rudder.
Enjoy.

RE: Tuff Flight's 4D

That motor should be fine.
Lighter servos is always better (if money isn't an issue)
Covering EPP using the 4D instructions is a snap. Just spray plenty of 3M77 on the foam, let it dry about 20...

RE: Tuff Flight's 4D

I, as most people started out with a low cost 2 stroke on the 4D because you know it's going to get punished, and although the 4D can take a lot I was afraid to put an expensive 4 stroke on it. But...

RE: Tuff Flight's 4D

Strupp22, because the tail feathers are full flying counter balanced surfaces it takes little effort to move them. First check your nyrods and connecting rods to see if you can free them up. ...

RE: Tuff Flight's 4D

Nice covering / painting Job. What did you use to paint the fuse and corplast with? They can be tricky to get paint to last. Don't be afraid to reiron the covering I have had many crashes as you...

RE: Tuff Flight's 4D

3M90 is inferior for attaching covering to EPP. It is thicker and therefor heavier, and less flexible it doesn't reactivate with heat like 3m77.

RE: Tuff Flight's 4D

Actually I think it was KB TOYS.
Ultracote/Oracover is the covering of choice. It's much more forgiving and will take impacts.
The TufFlight included Hayes 8 oz tank has worked well with my YS...

RE: Tuff Flight's 4D

Yes, garyss, all with the YS .63. I went through about $200 Zinger 14 X 4 props in two weeks. Then I switched to Master Airscrew (tower LXFTE5) 13x5 K Series Propeller 4.09 and along with the wet...

RE: Tuff Flight's 4D

I have a YS .63 on mine and have bee flying it every chance I get. I love doing endless torque rolls (at least try to) especially when the wind is low. Then for added kicks I use some root-beer or...
