Hi Jeff,
I have not built the Pica Waco, but if I remember correctly Stickbuilder and others were using the 0 deg incidence on both wings and the +2 on the stab. I think it’s the same on the Barth...

Hey Dirt.....
Congratulations on your 1/5 Waco find. Too bad about your crash. I'm sure most of us have a good "show-off" story or two. Bill (Stickbuilder) used to do the official introduction of...

Hey Chris,
Thanks for commenting. I was hoping you would. I knew there was someone from a ways back that was building the Barth 1/4 YMF. Now I remember your name.
I like the idea of an adjustable...

Wow! A Moki 250! Such a sweet motor. I'll be using either a G-62 or a DA-50 in this 1/4 scale just because I happen to have both. A radial would be nice but I'm not sure my 10" cowl would handle it,...

Thanks tmac48. Ingenious idea. I have a BUSA Nieuport 28 that I wish I could alter the stab. Your larger scale afforded you some workable space for your idea but I think I can do something similar...

Glad this thread is still here. About 6 years ago, for too many reasons to go into, I had to put my Barth 1/4 scale project aside. Now I'm just getting back into it and all of the things that puzzled...

I would be disappointed if this thread was discontinued. I admit I haven't been much of a contributor in a while, but I'm still planning on finishing my half-built 1/4 scale Barth Waco. Since we...

RE: WACO YMF

I'm not there yet Chris and I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I have the wing panels all built but since then have been focusing more on fuse details. Some of the Pepino 1/4 scale guys may have some...

RE: WACO YMF

Hi Chris,

I've been two years building my Barth 1/4 scale YMF mostly because I spend my winters here in FL and I'm building the Waco during the summer months in Michigan. A slow process. My...

RE: WACO YMF

Thats a big airplane for sure Dave. Looking good.

At the risk of getting off-topic just a tad, do I see the bones of a Giant Aeromaster fuse hanging from your rafters? The reason I ask is...

RE: WACO YMF

Hi John,

I used to buy dope by the gallon from Witmer's Aircraft Service in Pottstown, PA, 610-323-0320. Butyrate, nitrate & also thinner. He's a good guy to get to know. He restores full-scale...

RE: WACO YMF

That's a nice photo. Old cars and old airplanes................I would have been right in my element. I'll take a guess that besides the Waco the other two are a Piper PA-11 and a DH-82 Tiger Moth....

RE: WACO YMF

Hi Jim,

I'm using a G-62. It seems to be the engine of choice for a lot of the WACO 1/4 scale guys so I simply followed suit. Some are using a DA-50. I think any engine in that range would do....

RE: WACO YMF

Hello all,

I've been building a Peter Barth 1/4 scale YMF kit. My schedule seems to keep my building time at a minimum so it's been pretty slow-going. However I do have all the main components...
