Theres lil bro.!! Id defently go with the Futaba 2.4ghz , feels great in the hand and has a ton of adjustments that you can do and it has a LCD screen to see what your doing.

JOECOOL - I have the 1/10 Mamba Sidewinder for my MERV... Yes you have to buy the $20 link kit that you can get at tower and plug it to your computer and it will let you adjust everything you can...

I have the Hitec 82mg in mine.

Installing the 82mg, the only modification I had to do was to cut the screw hole out where the servo gets screwed into.. you will know exactly what im talking about...

Thanks.. but you have to remember that ALOT of the ESC is up against the motor and that motor is going to get hot and you dont want that motor to over heat your ESC. The other thing you can do since...

Yeah the wing is defently a protection for the rear.. every time you flip and the wing hits the ground and your merv jumps all around.. imagine not having one and what will hit the ground first.....
