RE: Stihl 65cc 4-mix on 30% Edge

RE: Stihl 65cc 4-mix on 30% Edge

J, Very sorry to hear that. A close friend lost his grand mother yesterday and I'm going to the wake tomorrow night. We are never prepared for this. I lost my mother in 97.

RE: Stihl 65cc 4-mix on 30% Edge

Hi guy's, that's interesting, hope I can eventually find one to fool with. I am happy with the Briggs for now. Dave, how's that Fokker project coming along?

RE: Stihl 65cc 4-mix on 30% Edge

More fuel less air guy's. it's the same with my B&S, 40cc, 4-stroke. Had to go smaller with the venturi. Also, thinking about it the Honda's are the same too. You have to drill out the jet to get it...

RE: Stihl 65cc 4-mix on 30% Edge

RE: Stihl 65cc 4-mix on 30% Edge

J, glad you got her running. I think the WT (butterfly) carbs pump more fuel than the WYK. My thinking is that a chain saw would need more fuel than a weed wacker (but I can't prove it) and it seems...

RE: Stihl 65cc 4-mix on 30% Edge

Ralph, The picture I posted is of my 40cc, B&S, 4-stroke. Sorry if I confused you. I just wanted to show the header pipe.

RE: Stihl 65cc 4-mix on 30% Edge

Don't know if you want to spend the money for a custom header but here's a picture of mine you may have seen before. It's made by K.M. Model Aircraft Components, Canada. If you are interested I'll...

RE: Stihl 65cc 4-mix on 30% Edge

Mark, What do you mean by "throttle curve" and how do you program that into the radio and what radio are you using? Thanks.

RE: Stihl 65cc 4-mix on 30% Edge

Ralph, Maybe the timing needs to be adjusted instead of the carb.? I did find out that my B&S, 40cc, 4-stroke liked a smaller venturi which means it likes less air which means it runs richer. Thanks...

RE: Stihl 65cc 4-mix on 30% Edge
