Oh hell yes it can crash and not be your' fault!!!. It's called a failure in the radio that came with the RTF helo!!!

Pretty sure xheli's the only place to get it. Ya might consider switching over to deans connectors.

It can be shorted by opening the Tx and removing the wires from the switch. Do the same with the model switch(You don't want to bump it and make the Tx think it's flying a plane!!!! Leave these wires...

Do yourself a huge favor and DO NOT buy the razor.  I did and it fell apart. Switches snapped of in flight, the gyro(not a heading hold unit) is crap as are the batteries and charger.  Customer...
