No chance.

Mine is 22lbs and has a Laser 360v. I wouldn't want much less performance than that really.

I don't I am afraid. I have a video of my ESM La7 with a 300v, but even at the same span its just not as beefy as the fury. Sure goes well though :)

well...it flew! :D but..its broken :(

sadly my landing was not perfect, but of greater issue was that the little Chinese man who built it didn't put any glue on the gear mounts. Its an easy fix...

RE: ESM Sea Fury 80' - Build log

My model is very firmly on the back burner at the moment. I have at least 3 models for maintenance/repair and at least 2 to finish building before I get to the Sea Fury. :(

RE: ESM Sea Fury 80' - Build log

I will be using a 2 blade prop as they give better efficiency and are easier to get. also the real sea fury used 5 blades so 3 would not help any from a scale point of view

RE: ESM Sea Fury 80' - Build log

ok thanks for that. I also went for a 5 inch spinner on mine and I am sure that 5 inch is the scale size. I will need to make a baffle plate to cool the engine but that's no problem. all I have to do...

RE: ESM Sea Fury 80' - Build log

My kit has at last arrived and for the most part I am very happy. There are a few problems however. The wing joiners are hopeless and I broke one just undoing the tape holding them together. The...

RE: ESM Sea Fury 80' - Build log

Looking at the manual I downloaded from ESM it is not clear if the 145mm is measured from the leading edge of the wing or the leading edge of the radiators. I think if 145 was measured back from the...

RE: ESM Sea Fury 80' - Build log

that's interesting what people are saying about the c/g. my La7 was spot on using the manual. I do however use very small elevator throws. In any event, I have the P39 from esm and the wing on that...

RE: ESM Sea Fury 80' - Build log

I am very surprised the model is that heavy. 10.8kg works out to almost 24lbs and I find that very heavy for a model of this size. I still question your choice of moving the c/g 15mm forward and...

RE: ESM Sea Fury 80' - Build log

I am suprised the os 300 is that powerful, i really doubt it will give 4hp but if you can supply some rpm figures on a 20x8 prop that would be handy.

As i do not have my kit yet i cant say if i...
