Here is one of my "alloy backplate" "C" series MVVS 1.5. It feels and more importantly runs very well. It was obtained from Jiri Kalina. He said it was one of his "fast" examples.

David Owen's opinion is that the porting is not Schnuerle.

It is a variation of "vortex" porting as originally patented by the Garofali's (Super Tigre) in the early 1960's.
