I may try something similar on one of the H9 Warbirds. Perhaps a P-40, although the Corsair is very nice.

Me neither.

So, sounds like you made the hatch just large enough to get your fingers in there to disconnect the battery from the ESC and connect the battery to the charger?

Thanks, Geoff. You solution is more elegant than (1) removing the wing or (2) trying to add a hatch to remove and replace the entire battery.

Geoff,

Do you have to remove the battery from the ESC to charge or did you add a separate extension for charging and leave the ESC connected while you are charging? Seems like it would be...

I've had good luck with the UBECs so far, but they probably can't be as reliable as a properly cared for battery.
