Aerofly pro / game commander problem

Finally got a gameport to USB adapter and now it works. Either I got a dodgy soundcard or there is a design flaw in them because I'm not the only one who had to get the adapter.

yeah its a soundblaster, the one they reccommended to me over on aerofly forum. Trying to find someone to lend me a gameport joystick to test and also a gameport to usb adapter. If the adapter works...

I went over to my brothers and he had got it to work properly. He is running xp but has a lower quality soundcard. I tried reinstalling my soundcard, no change.

Well I've had nothing but trouble with the game commander since I got the program. Coundn't get it to calibrate properly in windows. The controls are jittery, non proportional and some channels...
