RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Give yourself some time on the twist and you will have your control surfaces maxed out and a grin from ear to ear. I do suggest you start out with the low and high rates as the manual suggests,...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Having 6 years of flying experience under your belt you may be OK. I do recommend setting up the control throws to the low rate settings recommended in the manual. If you don't have the manual just...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

I haven't had any flutter problems with mine but I have had both aileron hinges at the wingtips fail. They have both been fixed but it is probably just a matter of time before they go again. I...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Sorry, I don't have any experience with HiTec radios so I can't offer any specific information. I use a Futaba 6XAS computer radio and it features a couple custom mix settings that allow you to enter...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

For you guys trying to figure out how to do waterfalls with your Twist, I have an elevator to aileron mix set up in my radio (ailerons set up as flaperons) so my ailerons move in the opposite...

RE: Twisted twist!!!

The wing bolt problem is common. Someone already figured out that you can loosten the stock t-nut by heating it with a soldering iron. I did this with mine after flying it a few times (the fit of the...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

ghee-grose,

I really should go the same route you have. How many flights to you get on your 1800mah pack? Is it much heavier than a standard pack?

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

wildnloose,

I hear ya on getting overly anxious to get in the air. We have all done it at one point or another. I know when I push mine with a 600 mah battery to make that fourth flight I keep...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Funny, I have flown my twist in what I estimate to be 25+ mph wind and was really surprised by how well it did. I wouldn't say the Twist "hates the wind" at all. It does require more speed to keep it...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

I just flew my Twist three days straight this weekend and all I can say is the more I fly it the more I like it. This weekend is the first time I have been able to fly the twist without some wind so...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Is your wing bolt holding tight? Many people have had to pitch the stock bolt right off the bat. I did this and found the replacement bolt I used still didn't fit quite right in the odd t--nut they...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

I just flew my Twist this past Friday in a solid 25 MPH wind. What a great plane in the wind! I was really suprised how stable it is in a strong wind despite the fact that it is extrimely light. I...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Thanks for the info on the extensions... The tee in the fuel line may work but you would risk the fuel running straight to the carb instead of into the tank while fueling. I think a better setup...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

I'm about ready to put the servos in my Twist but I need to stop by the LHS and pick up servo extensions. What did you guys use on your setup?

Also, many have said the control rods in the kit...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

I just came home from my local Hobbytown with a Twist. Get this... The price on the box was $109.99 which I figured was OK since I had the box in my hand and didn't have to pay shipping. I got to the...
